These Terms govern your use of JotSonic ("we", "us", or "our"). By creating an account or using the service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the service. You must be legally able to enter this agreement and have authority to act for any organization you represent.
1. The service
JotSonic lets you upload recordings, generate automated transcripts, edit and export them, and optionally share them. Transcription is generated by AI and can contain omissions, incorrect words, timing errors, or other mistakes. Review output before relying on it. We do not guarantee that a transcript is complete or accurate.
2. Your account
Sign in with your own Google account and keep access to that account secure. You are responsible for activity performed through your workspace. Do not share an individual subscription with other people, impersonate someone else, or access another user's recordings without permission. Contact us if you believe your account has been compromised.
3. Your content and permissions
You retain ownership of your recordings and transcripts. You give us permission to host, copy, process, transcribe, display, and deliver that content as needed to provide the service and carry out your instructions, including processing by our service providers.
You must have the rights and permissions needed to record, upload, transcribe, and share your content. You are responsible for obtaining consent from participants where required. Do not upload content that violates another person's privacy, intellectual property, or other legal rights.
4. Plans and usage limits
Free: 120 transcription minutes per calendar month, files up to 500 MB, and one file per upload. There is no daily file quota or separate recording-duration cap; recordings must fit within your available minutes.
Pro: $9 USD per month with 2,400 included transcription minutes, files up to 10 hours and 5 GB, and batches of up to 50 files.
One credit equals one audio minute. Audio is metered to the second. Minutes are reserved before processing, charged on successful completion, and released if processing fails or a pending recording is deleted. Deleting a completed recording does not restore used minutes.
Free included minutes reset on the first day of each calendar month at midnight UTC. Pro included minutes reset each monthly billing period. Unused included minutes do not roll over. Purchased credits roll over and are used after included minutes.
Do not share accounts, resell access, evade limits, overload the service through abusive automation, bypass security, or interfere with other users. Both plans use the same processing priority.
5. Subscription billing and credit purchases
Pro costs $9 USD per month, billed in advance, and renews monthly until canceled. Pro subscribers may buy one-time packs of 600 credits for $3.50, 1,500 credits for $7, or 3,600 credits for $15. Credit purchases are manual and do not renew automatically. Applicable taxes and the amount due are shown before purchase.
By subscribing, you authorize the recurring charge shown at checkout. Stripe processes payments. A failed payment or inactive subscription can return your account to Free limits. Purchased credit balances remain in your account.
Billing availability and the price displayed at checkout govern your purchase. We will disclose a change to a paid subscription's price before it applies to a future renewal.
6. No refunds and cancellation
Payments are final and non-refundable, except where required by applicable law.
We do not provide refunds or prorated credits for unused subscription time, unused service, partial billing periods, missed cancellations, or dissatisfaction with automated transcription results, except where a refund is legally required. Try the Free plan before purchasing.
Cancel through Manage billing in your workspace before the next renewal. Cancellation prevents the next renewal, and access continues through the end of the current paid period. Cancellation does not refund a payment already made. If you cannot access the billing portal or believe a charge is incorrect, contact vanthanh12195@gmail.com.
Nothing in this policy excludes a refund, withdrawal right, remedy, or other consumer protection that applicable law does not allow us to exclude.
7. Privacy and sharing
Our Privacy Policy explains the information we handle and the providers involved. Recordings are private by default. If you enable a share link, anyone with that link may access the shared content. You are responsible for where you distribute it, and disabling the link cannot recall copies already retained by recipients.
8. Availability, changes, and suspension
The service may be interrupted by maintenance, outages, provider limits, or events outside our control. Keep your own copies of important recordings and exported transcripts. We may change features or suspend access where reasonably necessary to address abuse, security issues, nonpayment, or legal obligations.
We may update these Terms. The date above identifies the latest version. Changes do not remove mandatory consumer rights or retroactively change a completed purchase where prohibited by law.
9. Disclaimers and applicable rights
To the extent permitted by applicable law, the service is provided as available, without a guarantee of uninterrupted service or error-free output. We are not responsible for indirect or consequential losses arising from reliance on an inaccurate transcript, unauthorized sharing, or service interruption to the extent the law permits that limitation.
These Terms do not exclude warranties, remedies, liability, or protections that cannot lawfully be excluded. Mandatory local consumer protections continue to apply.
