Selecting more than one transcript or format creates a ZIP. Subtitles and CSV always include timing, even when document timestamps are turned off.
Choose a format that fits the job
Open a completed transcript and click Export. Every export format is included on both Free and Pro. Choose one or more formats in the download dialog.
| Format | Use it for |
|---|---|
| TXT · Plain text | Copying words into notes, email, or another writing tool. |
| DOCX · Word document | Continuing to edit and format your transcript in a word processor. |
| PDF · PDF document | Sharing a document that is ready to read. |
| CSV · Spreadsheet | Working with transcript text and timing in rows and columns. |
| SRT · Subtitles | Importing timed captions into a compatible video editor or player. |
| VTT · Subtitles | Adding timed captions to compatible web video players. |
Decide whether your document needs timestamps
Leave Include timestamps in text and documentschecked if readers need to find the original moment in the audio. Turn it off for a cleaner reading copy. This option applies to text and document exports. CSV, SRT, and VTT always keep their timing because it is part of their structure. Click Download export when your choices are ready.
Export several recordings or formats together
In your library, select the checkboxes beside the recordings you need, then click Export in the selection bar. Completed recordings can be exported; wait for processing recordings to finish before including them in a download.
Multiple transcripts or multiple formats are packaged into one ZIP. Extract the ZIP on your device to access the individual files. For example, choose DOCX for your editor and PDF for your reviewer in the same export.
Check subtitles against the original video
Correct the transcript before downloading SRT or VTT, then import the file into your video tool using its caption or subtitle import command. Preview the beginning, middle, and end against the original recording. Trimmed or rearranged video may need caption timing adjustments in your video editor. You can use Resegment transcript to make shorter sections before exporting.
