Use your monthly minutes on one recording or many
Free includes two hours per calendar month, resetting on the first day at midnight UTC. You can transcribe a single two-hour recording or several shorter files, within the 500 MB file limit and your available balance.
Pro includes 40 hours per monthly billing period. Included minutes do not roll over. Both plans use Whisper large v3 turbo, accept MP3, WAV, and FLAC, and show the remaining balance in your workspace.
Available, reserved, and used minutes
One credit equals one audio minute, metered to the second. Before processing starts, JotSonic checks the stored recording's duration and reserves enough minutes. Reserved minutes are held for that recording and cannot be used by another upload.
Minutes are charged when the transcript is ready. If processing fails or you cancel a pending recording by deleting it, its reserved minutes are restored. Deleting a completed transcript does not restore minutes. Retrying a failed recording creates a new reservation without charging twice for successful completion.
Buy extra credits when a project needs more
Pro subscribers can make a manual, one-time credit purchase from Manage plan. There is no automatic credit recharge.
- Small: $3.50 for 600 credits (10 audio hours).
- Medium: $7.00 for 1,500 credits (25 audio hours).
- Large: $15.00 for 3,600 credits (60 audio hours).
Included minutes are used first. Purchased credits roll over and remain in your account when included minutes reset. Your balance is updated after Stripe confirms payment.
Upload up to 50 files with Pro
Pro supports batches of 50 files, each up to 10 hours and 5 GB. Every recording must fit within your available minutes. Keep the tab open until uploads finish; processing continues in the background afterward. Both plans use the same processing queue.
Manage your subscription and credits
Pro costs $9 USD per month and renews monthly until canceled. Choose Upgrade to Pro in your workspace to subscribe, or Manage plan to see available, reserved, and purchased minutes and open billing management.
Canceling stops future subscription renewals; Pro stays available until the paid period ends. Your existing recordings stay accessible. See the pricing section and billing terms for details.
