Share the conversation, on your terms

Create a read-only transcript link, understand what recipients can access, and turn sharing off when you’re done.

Good to know

Anyone with a share link can read the transcript and play or download its audio. Treat the link as access to the whole recording.

Review the recording before sharing

Recordings are private to your account by default. Before enabling sharing, review the transcript, correct important errors, and make sure the audio is appropriate for your recipients. Editing a word out of the transcript does not remove it from the original audio. If you only need to send written notes, consider a document export instead of a link to the recording.

Understand what the link makes available

The shared page is read-only. A recipient can read the transcript, listen to the recording, and download its audio. The link does not give them access to edit your workspace or browse your other recordings.

Access follows the link, so someone who receives a forwarded copy can also open it. Share links are not restricted to a named recipient. Send them only where you intend to make the transcript and recording available.

Turn sharing off when access is no longer needed

Open the transcript, click Share, and choose Turn sharing off. The previous link will no longer provide access to the shared page. You can create a new share link later if needed.

Revoking a link cannot remove files someone has already downloaded or text they have copied. For more about how JotSonic handles recordings and account data, read the Privacy Policy.

Copy link copies the address; Turn sharing off revokes it. The address shown here is a sample link. Your recording gets its own address.
